It goes without saying, being at the early stages of a music career is tough - but being able to explore music this way is such a liberating experience. Thank you for giving us the space to push ourselves and discover this facet of our creativity. Our roster of artists are truly some of the best DJs London has to offer, it amazes us that we’re able to get everyone in the same room for these special moments
RAMEN SOUND has put on a series of 11 sold-out shows across London and the south of the UK, with the intention of allowing their DJs to explore the far reaches of electronic music, traversing genres for pure creative expression.
“I remember starting this just before RAMEN · TEN (2020) in the hopes that we would use it for that event, but I couldn’t make anything out of the scribbles at that point in time. The sketches pretty much laid dormant in my sketchbook up until a few months ago when I began shaping, reshaping and trying to form something out of the mess.”
We could talk endlessly about collective music listening. Within dilapidated rooms, being absorbed by sound, moving in chaotic rhythm with our peers. These moments are so integral, shaping our human experience more than these words could ever make clear. It has taken us 10 shows to get to this point and, by now I'm sure you know what to expect. RAMEN is not a space where you worry about how you look, for us it's always been about feeling secure enough in the shadow of the strobes to close your eyes and allow sound to wash over you, tune after tune.
